A refrain I often hear from our membership, and from its sympathizers, is that we’re invisible in our town. Our Club’s ideas on the primacy of the individual, our deep commitment to limited government, and the growth-oriented economic polices we embrace are often not only ignored, but not tolerated, in the eyes of many.
Last year, I called for us to get visible in town by marching in Montclair’s Independence Day parade. Since then, our club secretary, Maureen Edelson, ‘A Mom for Montclair,’ furthered that visibility with her recent, unabashedly conservative & free-market campaign for Third Ward Councilor.
Come out in 2016 to march in the annual parade, to remind our fellow citizens of the gifts of political and economic choice handed down to us by the founding fathers. Isn’t that what the 4th of July is all about?

Montclair Republican Club Members & Friends Poll: Rubio on Top, The Donald #2
In a poll conducted September 24-27, 2015, Montclair Republican Club members and friends (who, jointly, reflect the complete political spectrum) favored Marco Rubio as their frontrunner choice for U.S. president among the 20 major 2016 candidates. Rubio took 11 votes out of the 52 cast, or 21%.
Following close behind was Donald Trump with 9 votes. A third tier included Carly Fiorina and John Kasich with 7 votes each.
The poll had a 25% response rate. Thanks to those who participated.

The first moon landing in history — that of the U.S. space program’s Apollo 11 craft with our hometown hero Buzz Aldrin aboard — was a testament to America’s ‘Right Stuff.’
Locally, many still breathe with the inspiration of the 1969 moon landing and Buzz Aldrin. But, Montclair and friends…do we have ignition?
The control of the American Experiment is to be placed in a new chief executive’s hands in sixteen months, but its power lies with you.
